When I was in college, I spent the summer after my sophomore year as many do — retreating back to my parents’ house and enjoying three precious months of rent-free living while grabbing a part-time gig at a taco joint to pad my bank account.
But my sophomore summer wasn’t smack in the middle of a global pandemic like Luna Soley’s was, so amid the uncertainty of the coming months, she ditched everything and went to work on a lobster boat all summer, one of the few female skippers on the water.
